The FujiFilm M-Mount Adapter for X-Mount Cameras enables the use of M mount lenses on X mount cameras, including the FUJIFILM X-Pro1 and X-E1. The adapter is composed of three parts: an aluminum mount for the camera body, a stainless steel mount for the lens, and an aluminum central tube. This design maintains a distance of 27.8mm from the lens mount to the sensor, resulting in high-quality image capture. The camera side of the adapter features electronic contacts that automatically transfer information to the camera based on pre-registered lens profiles. On firmware version 1.10 or later, this information can be accessed by pressing the Function button on the side of the adapter, providing access to the Mount Adapter Settings menu on the camera's rear LCD. The adapter also includes a gauge made of resin for checking the compatibility of M mount lenses.
