Additionally, the inclusion of a Z Coating Nano on individual elements helps to minimize lens flare and ghosting, resulting in high contrast and color accuracy.

In addition to its optical qualities, this lens features an optical image stabilization system that, when combined with camera-based sensor-shift IS, reduces camera shake by six stops for superior handheld shooting. The use of a Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) autofocus system provides fast and quiet focusing, and a manual focus clutch allows for effortless switching between focusing methods.
